In expansion, Dmart opens another four stores

, the operator of DMart retail stores, has expanded its footprint by opening four new outlets in Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Chikkaballapur (Karnataka), Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh), and Amritsar (Punjab). This expansion brings the total number of DMart stores to 396. Following this announcement, the company's shares experienced a notable uptick, rising as much as 2.6% to ₹3,635 on the BSE during intraday trading. Despite this recent gain, the stock has faced challenges over the past six months, declining by 32%, and recording an approximate 8% drop over the past year. The shares reached a 52-week high of ₹5,484 on September 24, 2024, before sliding to a low of ₹3,337.10 on March 3, 2025. In its financial performance, Avenue Supermarts reported a 4.8% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the third quarter ending December 2024, amounting to ₹723.54 crore, up from ₹690.41 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. This expansion comes as a positive signal as investor sentiment was a little negative due to Quick commerce competition. No recommendation
