Siemens Q1 Profit Jumps Over Five-Fold on Strong Revenue Growth

reported a robust performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated net profit surging to ₹2,143 crore from ₹423 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased 14.8% year-on-year to ₹4,713.7 crore, driven by strong execution across its Digital Industries, Smart Infrastructure, Mobility, and Energy businesses. The company's operating performance improved significantly during the quarter. EBIT rose 37% year-on-year to ₹691 crore, while the EBIT margin expanded to 14.7% from 12.3% a year earlier, reflecting improved operational efficiency and a favourable business mix. Siemens also reported healthy growth in new orders, supported by continued demand from infrastructure, industrial automation, rail mobility, and electrification projects. The company maintained a strong order backlog, providing good revenue visibility for the coming quarters. Industry & Economic Impact: The results highlight continued strength in India's capital goods and industrial automation sector, supported by sustained investments in infrastructure, manufacturing, railways, power transmission, and digitalisation. Growing demand for automation and electrification solutions reflects the country's ongoing industrial and infrastructure expansion.
