UCO Bank’s Q3: Profit Up 16% to ₹739 Cr, With NPAs Falling and Provisions Easing

reported Q3 FY26 net profit of ₹739.51 crore, up 15.76% YoY (from ₹638.83 crore), supported by better asset quality and lower provisioning. ​ Total income rose to ₹7,521.16 crore (vs ₹7,405.89 crore YoY), while operating profit increased ~6% to ₹1,680.24 crore. Key operating drivers Interest earned improved to ₹6,651.84 crore from ₹6,219.96 crore YoY, supporting core earnings momentum. ​ Provisions and contingencies declined to ₹525.12 crore from ₹589.51 crore, which directly aided reported profitability.​ Asset quality and capital comfort Gross NPA ratio improved to 2.41% from 2.91% YoY, and net NPA ratio improved to 0.36% from 0.63%, indicating continued clean-up of the loan book. ​ Capital adequacy strengthened to 17.43% from 16.25% YoY, providing balance-sheet headroom for growth.
