) has secured an order worth over ₹5,400 crore from National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor.
The contract covers supply and maintenance of high-speed rolling stock and allied works.
Your view
The order adds a sizeable contract to BEML's Rail & Metro business and provides visibility around the high-speed rail programme.
The key factor now is execution. I would watch order execution timelines, revenue recognition and margins from the project.
BEML was trading around ₹2,087 during morning trade on September 18, up 3.66% from the previous close. The stock touched ₹2,121 during the session.
Disclosure: I do not hold any position or have any interest in BEML Limited as of the time of posting.
