) is in focus after its associate company secured an order worth approximately ₹2,000 crore from Saudi Aramco for manufacturing and supplying steel pipes.
The order strengthens Welspun's international pipe business and adds to its already significant order visibility.
Your view
The key number is ₹2,000 crore, but the larger point is continued international order inflow.
Welspun Corp had already secured a record US pipe order of around ₹17,200 crore in August. The latest Saudi Aramco order adds another international project to the company's pipeline.
The stock touched ₹2,791 on September 21 and has delivered a sharp move this year. At these levels, I would focus on order execution, margins and future order inflows rather than only the headline order value.
Disclosure: I do not hold any position or have any interest in Welspun Corp Limited as of the time of posting.
