BSE's return on equity (ROE) has surged to an impressive 37.28% for the latest period, significantly outpacing the company's five-year average ROE of 19.60%. This exceptional capital efficiency underscores management's ability to generate superior returns for shareholders whilst maintaining conservative leverage. The exchange's asset-light model, characterised by minimal capital expenditure requirements and high cash generation, enables this outstanding performance. The company's shareholder funds stood at ₹6,673.01 crores as of March 2026, up from ₹4,423.73 crores a year earlier, reflecting robust profit retention. Fixed assets totalled ₹641.95 crores, more than doubling from ₹299.24 crores in the previous year, indicating strategic investments in technology infrastructure to maintain the exchange's competitive edge in speed and reliability. Current assets of ₹8,217.14 crores provide ample liquidity, whilst current liabilities of ₹5,370.49 crores result in a healthy current ratio.
