Whirlpool of India, a small-cap player in the domestic appliances sector, has recently experienced a downgrade in its stock rating ,This change is attributed to a shift in technical trends, moving from a sideways pattern to a mildly bearish outlook. The company's current stock price stands at Rs 1,263.00, down from a previous close of Rs 1,296.75. Over the past year, Whirlpool has faced significant challenges, with a return of -40.68%, underperforming the BSE500 index. The stock has also shown a decline of 30.53% year-to-date. Despite these challenges, Whirlpool maintains a low debt-to-equity ratio and has reported positive financial performance over the last six quarters. The company boasts a return on capital employed (ROCE) of 23.21% and a return on equity (ROE) of 8.96%. With a market capitalization of Rs 16,024 crore, Whirlpool of India represents a substantial portion of the domestic appliances sector, accounting for 28.59% of the industry’s total sales.
