Business Activities Housing Finance: HUDCO provides long-term loans for housing projects, particularly focusing on the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Low-Income Groups (LIG). Urban Infrastructure Finance: The company funds projects like water supply, sanitation, sewerage, solid waste management, drainage systems, urban transport, and roads. Consultancy & Training: Through its training wing, the Human Settlement Management Institute (HSMI), HUDCO offers consultancy, research, and capacity-building support for urban development. NBFC-IFC Status: HUDCO is recognized as a Non-Banking Financial Company – Infrastructure Finance Company (NBFC-IFC), giving it the flexibility to raise funds for lending operations. Approved a large issue of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth several thousand crores to raise capital.
