1. Strong quarterly performance NTPC reported around 8% year-on-year growth in consolidated profit in Q3 FY26 with modest revenue growth. The company also announced a second interim dividend of about ₹2.75 per share, reflecting stable cash flows from its power generation business. 2. Stock performance in recent weeks NTPC shares recently moved close to their 52-week high near ₹388 and have shown strong relative performance compared with many power sector peers. The stock has seen higher trading volumes during recent market rallies. 3. Renewable expansion through subsidiaries The company is aggressively expanding renewable energy through NTPC Green Energy and NTPC Renewable Energy. New solar capacities are being commissioned at large renewable parks such as Khavda in Gujarat, adding hundreds of megawatts to its green portfolio. 4. Major capacity expansion pipeline NTPC has multiple thermal and hydro projects under construction, including large expansions in states like Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana. These projects together represent more than 13 GW of upcoming capacity additions. 5. Nuclear power entry NTPC has partnered with NPCIL to develop the Mahi-Banswara nuclear power project in Rajasthan, a planned 2,800 MW nuclear plant that will diversify the company’s power generation mix. 6.
