Thousands of companies are listed on it, making it one of the largest exchanges in the world by number of listed firms. SENSEX The benchmark index of BSE is the SENSEX (Sensitive Index). It tracks 30 large, financially strong companies across major sectors of the Indian economy. If SENSEX rises, it generally indicates positive market sentiment. If SENSEX falls, it reflects negative sentiment or uncertainty.!
