India has successfully completed a critical automation and monitoring upgrade for BPCL’s Vadinar–Bina Pipeline (VBPL) — a 935 km cross-country pipeline supplying 7.80 MMTPA to the Bina refinery, a key pillar of India’s energy security. Key highlights: Modernisation of ABB Ability SCADAvantage system Replacement of 35 RTUs across pumping, pigging & valve stations New SCADA servers at Vadinar and Bina Enhanced cybersecurity, network protection & centralized monitoring ABB now provides automation solutions across ~66% of BPCL’s pipeline infrastructure, underlining a long-standing strategic partnership.
