partners with Sun Pharma for SZC distribution

has entered an exclusive distribution agreement with Sun Pharmaceutical for Sodium Zirconium Cyclosilicate (SZC) 5 g oral suspension, a treatment for Hyperkalaemia. Under the agreement, AstraZeneca will market SZC as Lokelma, while Sun Pharma will promote and distribute it as Gimliand. AstraZeneca retains intellectual property rights, marketing authorization, and import license for the molecule. AstraZeneca Pharma India, a global biopharmaceutical company, focuses on cardiovascular/metabolic diseases, cancer, respiratory, inflammatory, and autoimmune conditions, operating through Healthcare and Clinical Trial segments. This collaboration aims to accelerate patient access to SZC across India.
