LIC Reports Strong Growth in New Business Value in Q1FY27
Life Insurance Corporation of India reported a 61.32% YoY surge in Net Value of New Business (VoNB) to ₹3,136 crore in Q1FY27, with margins improving to 22.9%. The company’s FY26 Embedded Value (IEV) stood at ₹7,89,185 crore, supported by a 41% YoY growth in Adjusted Net Worth (ANW) to ₹1,69,605 crore, despite a decline in Value of In-Force (VIF). Rural penetration increased to 53.26%, while the Bima Sakhi Yojana contributed ₹2,848.36 crore in New Business Premium (NBP) through 3.45 lakh agents, highlighting LIC’s expanding reach across underserved markets.
