$MOIL Delivers Strong Q1 FY27, Profit Surges 70% YoY

MOIL Limited $MOIL , India's largest manganese ore producer, posted a stellar Q1 FY27 performance with net profit jumping ~70% year-on-year to ₹876 million (₹87.6 Cr), compared to ₹515 million (₹51.5 Cr) in Q1 FY26. Revenue for the quarter rose to ₹3.71 billion (₹371 Cr), up from ₹3.4 billion (₹340 Cr) in the same period last year — a ~9% YoY growth — reflecting improved realisations and steady demand from the domestic steel sector, which is the primary consumer of manganese ore. The profit growth significantly outpaced revenue growth, indicating strong operating leverage and margin expansion during the quarter. MOIL continues to operate with a zero-debt balance sheet, a robust current ratio of 4.94, and a healthy dividend yield of ~1.95%, making it one of the most financially sound PSU mining companies. Trading at a P/E of ~20.85x — a discount to the industry average of 24.59x — and with 64.68% promoter holding, MOIL remains a fundamentally strong play on India's steel and infrastructure growth story.
