Rathi Steel & Power advances manufacturing efficiency with successful hot charging trial

Rathi Steel & Power has successfully completed the trial run of its Hot Charging process for transferring MS billets directly from the continuous casting machine to the TMT bar mill. The milestone enables the production of Fe 550 and Fe 550D grade TMT rebars, widely used in infrastructure and real estate projects. The technology reduces reheating requirements, resulting in lower fuel consumption, reduced scale loss, and improved operational efficiency. The successful production of Fe 550D TMT rebars, known for their high strength, ductility, and seismic resistance, is expected to strengthen the company's product portfolio while supporting India's growing infrastructure demand.
