strengthens FMCG play with Udhaiyam acquisition

FMCG arm, Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL), has acquired a majority stake in Udhaiyams Agro Foods, bringing Tamil Nadu–based heritage nutrition brand Udhaiyam into its branded staples portfolio. Under the joint venture structure, RCPL will hold the controlling stake, while the original promoters retain a minority interest. The acquisition aligns with RCPL’s strategy of scaling trusted Indian heritage brands and expanding access to high-quality, affordable food products nationwide. The move further strengthens Reliance’s FMCG presence as part of its broader, diversified business spanning energy, petrochemicals, retail, and digital services.
