Approves ₹160 Crore Investment for New Instant Tea Facility

has received board approval to invest up to ₹160 crore towards setting up a new 2,000 MT Instant Tea manufacturing facility in India. The proposed capacity is expected to be commissioned within the next two years and is aimed at meeting the rising demand for Instant Tea products. The company currently operates an existing Instant Tea capacity of 2,100 metric tonnes, with utilisation levels standing at nearly 90%, indicating strong demand traction and the need for incremental capacity expansion. The proposal was approved during the Board of Directors meeting held on May 8, 2026. Tata Consumer Products is a leading FMCG player that brings together the food and beverage businesses of the Tata Group under a unified consumer products platform.
