Vodafone Idea Strengthens Green Energy Push

Vodafone Idea has entered into agreements to acquire at least 26% stake in MTK Quantum Green Energy, a special purpose vehicle set up for owning and operating a captive power plant. The acquisition, valued at Rs 4.33 crore, aims to secure cost-effective renewable energy while complying with captive power regulations under the Electricity Act, 2003. The move reflects Vodafone Idea’s increasing focus on energy efficiency and sustainable infrastructure as telecom networks continue to expand and consume higher power.
