Is $PFOCUS Quietly Staging One of the Strongest Turnarounds in the Media-Tech Space?
$PFOCUS returned to profitability in Q4 with a net profit of nearly Rs 82 crore, against a net loss of nearly Rs 231 crore in the Q4FY25. marking a sharp turnaround from losses reported in the previous year. Sequentially, the net profit grew more than 16% from the Rs 71 crore reported in the Q3FY26. Profit before tax and exceptional items, however, declined nearly 29% YoY to Rs 88 crore in Q4 FY26 from Rs 123 crore in Q4 FY25. Revenue from operations jumped more than 42% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 1,375 crore during Q4FY26, from Rs 967 crore in the Q4FY25. The improvement was driven by stronger operational performance across visual effects (VFX), post-production, and content services businesses. The company, backed by Ranbir Kapoor as an investor, has been benefiting from rising global demand for high-quality VFX and digital production services as streaming platforms and studios continue increasing content spending. The results highlight improving execution and recovery momentum in the media-tech segment after a prolonged weak phase. Investors and industry watchers will now focus on margin sustainability, global project pipeline strength, and how effectively the company capitalizes on the long-term growth opportunity emerging from the expanding OTT and digital entertainment ecosystem.
