Mold-Tek Packaging Bonus+ Dividend Announcement

What Do Shareholders Actually Gain? Mold-Tek Packaging

MOLDTKPAC
has approved a 1:1 bonus issue, meaning shareholders will receive one additional share for every one share held on the record date. The company will issue 3.32 crore bonus shares of ₹5 face value, doubling its total equity shares from 3.32 crore to 6.64 crore. The record date is yet to be announced, and the bonus remains subject to shareholder approval. What About the ₹3 Dividend? Along with the bonus, the company has recommended a final dividend of ₹3 per share for FY26, equivalent to 60% of the ₹5 face value. The dividend will be declared at the company's AGM, with the record date or book-closure period to be announced later. The bonus shares will be issued from the company's free reserves, with the bonus issue amounting to ₹16.61 crore. After the issue, Mold-Tek Packaging's paid-up share capital will rise from ₹16.61 crore to ₹33.22 crore. My View The 1:1 bonus is a positive corporate-action signal, but investors should remember that a bonus issue by itself does not create additional economic value. The number of shares doubles, while the per-share price adjusts accordingly. The more important point is that the company is rewarding shareholders through both a bonus issue and a ₹3 final dividend, while using accumulated free reserves for the bonus.
