Bank stocks face unusual NSE-BSE price differences !!

Bank stocks face unusual NSE-BSE price differences 🏦⚠️ Indian bank stocks experienced unusually large differences between their NSE and BSE prices during Thursday's closing auction, highlighting the market's continuing adjustment to the new closing-auction mechanism. IndusInd Bank recorded one of the widest gaps, according to market reports. The unusual price differences have attracted attention because NSE and BSE normally maintain very close prices for actively traded stocks through arbitrage and high-frequency trading. The development comes after changes to the closing-auction process. The new mechanism has produced some unusual end-of-day price movements, particularly in heavily traded stocks. For ordinary investors, this is important because the closing price is used for several purposes, including portfolio valuation, index calculations and certain derivative-related calculations. A sharp closing-auction move can therefore create temporary distortions.
