buy on dips strategy to be followed for investment

ANGELONE
Angel One Limited is a prominent Indian financial services company operating in stock broking, investment distribution, margin trading facilities and wealth management. Its digital platform enables customers to participate in equity delivery, intraday trading, futures and options, commodities and other financial products. Angel One's Q1 FY2026–27 consolidated financial results showed encouraging year-on-year growth. Revenue from operations reached approximately ₹1,429.69 crore, increasing 25.35% year-on-year. Operating profit rose 77.06% to ₹485.44 crore, while net profit increased 102.15% to ₹231.40 crore. NSE 292.00, BSE 292.00 However, the sequential performance was weaker: revenue declined 2.04% quarter-on-quarter, and net profit fell 27.74%. This distinction is important because strong annual growth does not necessarily mean that earnings momentum is accelerating every quarter. Based on the recent price action through 9 October 2026, the following are provisional technical reference zones, not guaranteed targets. Technical level Price zone Near-term support ₹288–₹290 Important support ₹280–₹283 Lower support ₹267–₹275 Immediate resistance ₹298–₹302 Strong resistance ₹305–₹310 These zones are approximate and should be validated against the latest chart. Support: The ₹288–₹290 zone is important in the immediate term. A sustained breakdown below it could increase selling pressure, making the lower support regions relevant. Resistance: The ₹298–₹302 zone is the first area to monitor for a recovery. A decisive close above ₹302, supported by stronger volume, could improve short-term sentiment. The ₹305–₹310 region is the next hurdle. Trend confirmation: Traders should look for higher highs, higher lows and sustained trading above resistance before concluding that a meaningful recovery has begun.

Angel One sheds 20% workforce amid growth reset

Angel One Limited (

ANGELONE
) has trimmed its permanent workforce to 2,934 in FY26 from 3,823 a year earlier, representing a headcount reduction of nearly 20%. The sharp rationalization comes as retail trading activity slows and regulatory changes hit the broker's primary volume driver: derivatives. SEBI has tightened contract sizes, position limits, and expiry terms for index derivatives, reducing individual trader loss volumes across the industry. Consequently, Angel One saw gross client additions drop by around 27%, while trading order volume growth slowed to 9.5% despite total clients hitting 39.03 million in July. Competitors like Groww and Zerodha continue to extract higher profit per user, with Groww generating ₹2,083 crore in net profit on ₹4,644 crore revenue in FY26, compared to Angel One’s ₹915 crore profit on ₹5,137 crore revenue. To combat slowing core broking revenue, management is pushing a cross-selling transformation. Angel One is expanding into non-broking revenue drivers such as wealth management, distribution, credit, and asset management, while forming a joint venture with Livwell for digital insurance products. Non-broking revenue streams now account for about one-third of overall revenue, up from 17% in FY23. What the headline misses is that headcount cuts were paired with rising employee benefit expenses, pointing to higher-cost executive hires rather than pure cost reduction. Additionally, AI adoption has improved engineering efficiency. Investors should watch whether the platform can successfully scale its super app to cross-sell non-broking products without confusing users. Key metrics to monitor include gross client acquisition trends, average client funding book growth, and market share retention against discount broking rivals.

19 May – 30 Jun 2008 7 Weeks 5,157 → 4,016 -22.1% 23 Apr – 28 May 2012 6 Weeks 5,277 → 4,842 -8.2% 21 Jan – 25 Feb 2013 6 Weeks 6,086 → 5,720 -6.0% 22 Jul – 26 Aug 2013 6 Weeks 6,010 → 5,472 -9.0% 30 Jun – 04 Aug 2025 6 Weeks 25,662 → 24,363 -5.1% 03 Aug – 25 Sep 2026 8 Weeks 24,573 → ~23,094 ~ -6.0% 2008 में Nifty का लगातार 7-week losing streak दर्ज हुआ था। --->FOCUS STOCKS

Angel One Ltd a “Neutral” call from UBS with a ₹360 target.

ANGELONE
In its August 2026 business update, Angel One reported a 17.8% YoY rise in its client base to 39.56 million, with 0.57 million gross client additions in the month. Despite a moderation in trading activity and market share, the average client funding book reached an all‑time high of ₹74.21 billion, underscoring strong balance‑sheet growth. The stock rallied on September 4 after SEBI said it would review the settlement‑price methodology for F&O contracts a month after the rollout of the Closing Auction Session (CAS), easing earlier concerns about a structural hit to derivatives volumes. On the brokerage‑call front, UBS maintains a “Neutral” rating with a target price of ₹360, expecting a strong runway for margin‑trading (MTF) growth and viewing CAS impact as transient, while not revising guidance or cost plans at this stage. Shares have been trading around ₹297–₹305 in recent sessions, with a market capitalisation near ₹27,300–₹27,400 crore.

Angel One: Breakout Retest Holds at Support

ANGELONE
broke out of a multi-year triangle structure in April 2026, rallying to a high near 360 before undergoing a throwback correction. That pullback has been well-contained at the breakout zone, the former upper trendline resistance near 350, which has now flipped into a support zone — a retest pattern often seen after a structural breakout. Price is turning back up from this zone, with RSI in the mid-range around 50-55, leaving room for momentum to build either way. Resistance: 350, then the 394 zone marked by the prior swing high. Support: 280 , then 257 as a deeper cushion if the retest zone gives way. Holding above 280 on a closing basis keeps the breakout structure intact and leaves the door open for a fresh push toward 360 and beyond. A slip back below this zone would pull the stock back into its broader multi-year range and weaken the breakout read. How price behaves around the 300 zone over the coming sessions will be the key tell for whether the breakout retest is holding as intended. A breakout is only as strong as its first retest — when former resistance holds as support on a pullback, it adds credibility to the structural move.
