TCS laptop monitoring tool: Reports of employee surveillance

Tata Consultancy Services (

TCS
), a major global IT and consulting company, clarifies that reports regarding surveillance of employees are baseless and inaccurate. It further stated in the statement that the company does not track individual employee activity on laptops & respects their privacy, while its tools are used only to monitor network performance, security and availability at a macro level.
TCS
Earlier, Tata Consultancy Services received alerts ‌alleging the possible exposure of certain employee-related data, India’s largest IT firm said on Monday (August 10), adding that ‌there was no indication that customer ‌data or systems have ‌been impacted. The information referenced appears to be more than four years old and limited to basic employee information. There is no indication that customer data, customer systems, or TCS operational systems have been impacted. The attacker claims to have used password spray and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) fatigue as the attack vector,” TCS said in an exchange filing.

Close crossing last Month High Strategy

Close crossing last Month High Strategy

BATAINDIA
is trading near its previous month high. • This strategy focuses on stocks that close above the previous month’s high, which often signals fresh momentum and strong buying interest. • A decisive close above this level indicates that the stock is breaking a key resistance zone, potentially starting a new upward trend. • Traders usually look for strong volume, market support, and the stock trading above important moving averages to confirm the breakout strength. • For risk management, many traders place a stop loss slightly below the breakout level while aiming to capture short to medium-term momentum moves. India’s Data Fortress Is Creating New Business Winners

India’s data-localisation journey is no longer just a regulatory story. It is becoming an infrastructure story. The latest telecom rules require telecom data, logs and related information to remain within India, extending a trend already seen across payments, insurance and personal data. And when data cannot freely cross borders, someone has to build the infrastructure to store, connect, secure and process it. That creates a potential long-term opportunity for companies positioned around India’s digital backbone. Bharti Airtel

BHARTIARTL
— telecom networks, submarine cables and data-centre infrastructure. Reliance Industries — Jio’s digital ecosystem and large-scale data-centre ambitions. Tata Communications — global connectivity, submarine cables and enterprise digital infrastructure. Tech Mahindra — enterprise technology and telecom-focused digital services. Indus Towers — critical telecom infrastructure supporting India’s expanding digital network. The bigger story is not simply “data must stay in India.” It is what happens next. More localisation can mean more domestic data centres, connectivity, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity spending and digital capacity. But investors should also study capital expenditure, debt, utilisation, pricing power, competition and regulatory execution before drawing conclusions. This is a theme for research, not a buy recommendation. Data localisation can reshape digital infrastructure demand, creating potential beneficiaries while also increasing compliance costs for businesses.
