buy on dips is the opportunity to buy near demand zone

BDL
Bharat Dynamics Limited (NSE: BDL) remains an interesting defence stock, but the key factors now are technical breakout, order-book execution, and valuation. 📊 Technical Levels Immediate Support: ₹1,300–1,310 Major Support: ₹1,250–1,270 Strong Support: ₹1,180–1,200 Immediate Resistance: ₹1,365–1,400 Major Resistance: ₹1,450–1,500 Breakout Zone: Above ₹1,400 with strong volume 📈 Bullish Scenario A sustained closing above ₹1,400 with good volume can indicate a fresh bullish momentum. Potential upside zones: ₹1,400 → ₹1,450 → ₹1,500 → ₹1,600 A sustained move above ₹1,500 can bring the previous high zone back into focus. 📉 Bearish Scenario If BDL gives a decisive breakdown below ₹1,300, short-term weakness can increase. Potential downside levels: ₹1,300 → ₹1,250 → ₹1,200 Below ₹1,200, the ₹1,100–1,150 zone becomes important. 🔥 Fundamental View BDL's biggest strength is its large order book. The company ended FY26 with an order book of around ₹26,000 crore. Q1 FY27 revenue was around ₹572 crore and standalone PAT was around ₹119 crore. However, the important point is execution. A large order book only becomes meaningful when the company converts it into revenue and profits efficiently. Therefore, future execution and margins will be key triggers.

Bharat Dynamics Q1 FY27: Revenue Up 131%, Profit Up 547%

BDL
Bharat Dynamics Limited reported standalone Q1 FY27 results for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 on 14 August 2026. Q1 FY27 numbers (standalone): Revenue from operations: Rs 572.24 crore, up 130.8% YoY from Rs 247.93 crore PBT: Rs 165.63 crore; PAT: Rs 118.79 crore, up 547.5% YoY from Rs 18.35 crore, but only 5% QoQ EPS: Rs 3.24; EBITDA margin 14.52% Order book: Rs 26,176 crore as of 31 March 2026, nearly 11 times FY26 revenue The YoY optics carry a collapsed base: Q1 FY26 was crushed by supply constraints on imported seekers and radars. Q1 revenue converted about 2.2% of the book, against brokerage estimates near Rs 1,300 crore from Akash alone. Post results, Goldman Sachs kept a Sell with a Rs 1,150 target citing margin pressure on new platforms. QRSAM, near Rs 30,000 crore, awaits CCS approval expected by September. Bharat Dynamics [
BDL
][***** shares closed at Rs 1,303.56 on 20 August 2026, down 2.6 percent today and 11.6 percent over one year. 52-week range Rs 1,068 to Rs 1,628. Trailing P/E near 92. My view: the 547 percent is the base talking, not the business accelerating; profit grew 5 percent QoQ. At 92x trailing with 2.2 percent quarterly book conversion, the price assumes execution that Q1 did not show. The book is real, the bottleneck is real, so this stays a hold with two dated triggers: the September QRSAM decision and visible easing in seeker supplies. Fresh entry before either is faith, not analysis. Levels: Rs 1,265 to 1,295 is the August base; below it the March floor near Rs 1,070; overhead, the results-day zone of Rs 1,380 to 1,395, then Rs 1,628. DEFENCE SHARES SNAP 5-DAY RALLY AMID PROFIT BOOKING; ASTRA MICROWAVE, BDL, HAL DECLINE UP TO 4%

BDL
Defence stocks came under profit-taking pressure on Wednesday, with the Nifty India Defence index falling 1.5% and snapping a five-session winning streak. The decline followed a sharp rally in the previous session, triggered by the Department of Defence Production (DDP) under the Ministry of Defence notifying the sixth Positive Indigenisation List (PIL). The list includes 405 strategically important defence items with an estimated business potential of Rs 3,070 crore, reinforcing expectations of higher domestic opportunities for defence manufacturers. Among individual stocks, Solar Industries India and MTAR Technologies fell 3.2% and 2.9%, respectively. Bharat Dynamics, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, Hindustan Aeronautics and Bharat Electronics also declined, with losses of up to 3%. Data Patterns (India) and Aequs were the only constituents of the defence index trading in positive territory, bucking the broader sectoral weakness.

Defence shares snap 5-day rally amid profit booking

Defence stocks faced sharp profit-taking on Wednesday, with the Nifty India Defence index falling 1.5% and snapping a five-session winning streak. The index had climbed nearly 4% over the previous five trading days, buoyed by positive policy developments. The recent rally was largely driven by the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence notifying the sixth Positive Indigenisation List (PIL). The list includes 405 strategically important defence items with an estimated business potential of ₹3,070 crore. This move forms part of the government’s broader Aatmanirbhar Bharat push to strengthen domestic defence manufacturing, reduce import dependence, encourage investment and innovation, and create fresh opportunities for Indian companies. In Wednesday’s session, selling pressure dominated as 17 of the 19 constituents of the Nifty India Defence index traded in the red. Astra Microwave Products emerged as the top loser, declining 4%. Solar Industries India dropped 3.2%, while MTAR Technologies fell 2.9%. Other major names including

BDL
ics, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers, Hindustan Aeronautics and Bharat Electronics declined by up to 3%.
