VA Tech Wabag Tests Range Top on Sector Rally

WABAG
shares rose nearly 6% to Rs 2,130.90, pushing toward the upper end of a range it has held since July 2026. The move came amid broad strength in the water/infra EPC space, after Enviro Infra Engineers surged nearly 10% on securing a Rs 190-crore EPC contract from Tata Power Renewable Energy for a 180-MW NTPC wind project, while Denta Water and Infra Solutions also gained (Source: Money control). On the chart, VA Tech Wabag has been consolidating within a converging range since the July highs near 2,250, with today's move accompanied by a volume surge and RSI at 65.74, both pointing to renewed participation. Resistance: 2,220, then the range highs near 2,2250. Support: 1,950-1,850. A sustained close above the 2,250-2260 zone would mark a move past the range's upper boundary, potentially opening the path for the next leg higher. Failure to hold above this zone would keep the stock within its multi-month consolidation. VA Tech Wabag's range-top test alongside sector-wide strength makes it one to track for a possible range breakout, contingent on the move holding. A multi-month consolidation range often resolves with a volume-backed move at its boundary — the follow-through on a close, not the initial push, confirms the breakout. Denta Water & Infra Solutions Ltd. presents a compelling long-term investment opportunity,

DENTA
Driven by India's increasing focus on water security, irrigation infrastructure, and sustainable resource management. With rapid urbanisation, climate change, and rising water scarcity, government spending on water-related infrastructure is expected to remain a priority for years, creating a strong growth runway for specialised engineering companies like Denta Water. The company has built expertise in groundwater recharge, lift irrigation, water supply schemes, and water management projects. Its proven execution capabilities and participation in technically complex infrastructure projects provide a competitive advantage over smaller regional players. A healthy order book offers strong revenue visibility and supports sustained earnings growth over the coming years. Government initiatives such as the Jal Jeevan Mission, river-linking projects, smart cities, and state-level irrigation programmes continue to expand the addressable market. As both the central and state governments increase capital expenditure on water infrastructure, Denta Water is well positioned to benefit from new project awards and recurring execution opportunities. Financially, the company has demonstrated healthy profitability with disciplined project execution and efficient cost management. Strong operating margins, improving return ratios, and a prudent balance sheet enhance confidence in its ability to scale operations without significant financial stress. Better working capital management and steady cash generation further strengthen its investment case. Beyond conventional water infrastructure, increasing emphasis on groundwater conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable water management creates additional long-term opportunities. Rising industrial demand for water infrastructure and urban development projects also provide diversification beyond government contracts.

Denta Water & Infra Ltd. operates in one of India's most critical and long-term sectors—water security.

DENTA
As the country faces rising water scarcity, rapid urbanization, industrial expansion, and increasing irrigation demand, investment in water infrastructure is expected to remain a national priority for decades. The company specializes in groundwater recharge, lift irrigation, water management projects, and EPC execution. Unlike cyclical sectors, demand for water infrastructure is driven by necessity rather than discretionary spending, creating a structural growth opportunity. India's initiatives such as Jal Jeevan Mission, river-linking projects, smart cities, and irrigation modernization are creating a strong pipeline of opportunities. Government spending on water infrastructure is likely to remain robust, providing sustained order inflows for experienced execution-focused companies like Denta. A key strength of Denta is its execution capability and project expertise developed over years of operating in technically challenging water infrastructure projects. As governments increasingly prefer proven contractors with successful track records, established players can continue to benefit from repeat business and qualification for larger projects. The company also has the potential to diversify into wastewater treatment, recycling, desalination, urban water management, and smart water solutions as India's water ecosystem evolves. These segments could become meaningful growth drivers over the next decade. Financially, investors should monitor order book growth, revenue visibility, execution efficiency, operating margins, working capital management, and return ratios. Consistent improvement across these parameters could significantly enhance earnings visibility and valuation.
