Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories – Latest Fundamental Update

DRREDDY
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (DRREDDY) reported a weak Q1 FY27 on a YoY basis. Consolidated revenue declined 5.6% to ₹8,071 crore, while PAT fell sharply by about 69% to ₹444 crore. EBITDA declined 55.7% to ₹1,009 crore and margin contracted to 12.5% from 26.7%. The biggest reason for the weakness was the North America business, where revenue fell about 35% YoY to ₹2,205 crore, primarily because of lower Lenalidomide sales. The company also took a one-time provision related to semaglutide, which further impacted Q1 profitability. There are nevertheless some positives. Revenue increased 7.4% QoQ, and Q1 EBITDA remained at ₹1,009 crore despite the difficult comparison. The company launched six new products in North America, while its broader portfolio across India, Emerging Markets, Europe and API businesses provides diversification. The stock is currently around ₹1,143–₹1,152, roughly 19% below its 52-week high of ₹1,414, so the market has already discounted part of the recent earnings weakness.

Nifty Pharma | The Only Sector That Ended Green on Sept 7

Sector performance, Monday September 7, 2026: Nifty IT: declined. Nifty Metal: declined. Nifty PSU Bank: declined. Nifty Media: declined. Nifty Auto: declined. Nifty FMCG: declined. Nifty Private Bank: declined. Nifty Realty: declined. Nifty Financial Services: declined. Nifty Pharma: the sole sectoral index to close in the green on the NSE. That single-line summary of Monday's session captures the defensive rotation that has now repeated itself in every major sell-off session of August and September 2026. When geopolitical tension escalates, crude rises, bond yields spike and the Nifty falls — the market's one consistent buyer is pharmaceutical stocks. The logic is structural. Pharmaceutical demand is inelastic — a patient requiring Sun Pharma's specialty drug or

biosimilar does not delay treatment because Brent crude is trading at $91 per barrel. For companies with significant US revenue exposure, a weaker rupee driven by rising crude and dollar strengthening actually improves rupee-denominated export earnings without any change in underlying demand. The combination of defensive demand and currency tailwinds makes pharma the most reliable single-sector bid in every crude-driven market downturn. The Nifty 50 closed Monday at 23,779.15, down 118.55 points. The Nifty MidCap declined 0.46 per cent. The Nifty SmallCap rose 0.02 per cent. And Nifty Pharma closed higher — for the fourth time in five major down-day sessions since August 19.

Dr Reddy’s: Pharma Growth Beyond Legacy Products

DRREDDY
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is a diversified global pharma company with strong exposure to generics, APIs, biosimilars and innovative therapies. Q1 FY27 revenue declined 5.6% YoY to ₹8,071 crore, while PAT fell 69% to ₹443.5 crore, mainly due to the absence of lenalidomide revenues and a ₹240 crore semaglutide-related provision. Latest News: The underlying base business continued to show healthy growth across key geographies, while Dr. Reddy’s is building its peptide, biosimilar and innovative-product pipeline. A recent long-term manufacturing agreement through Aurigene provides additional global opportunity. Corporate Action/Catalysts: Recovery after the semaglutide issue, new product launches, biosimilars and CDMO opportunities could support earnings normalisation. However, US pricing pressure, regulatory observations—including a recent Form 483 at Srikakulam—and loss of high-value legacy products remain key risks.

Close crossing last Month High Strategy.............

Close crossing last Month High Strategy

DRREDDY
is trading near its previous month high. • This strategy focuses on stocks that close above the previous month’s high, which often signals fresh momentum and strong buying interest. • A decisive close above this level indicates that the stock is breaking a key resistance zone, potentially starting a new upward trend. • Traders usually look for strong volume, market support, and the stock trading above important moving averages to confirm the breakout strength. • For risk management, many traders place a stop loss slightly below the breakout level while aiming to capture short to medium-term momentum moves. Dr Reddy's - Bearish, Falling MA and below crucial support

DRREDDY
is showing a bearish setup as both the fast and slow moving averages are falling, confirming weakening momentum. Price has also broken below a key support zone, opening the possibility of further downside. The trend remains weak unless the stock reclaims the moving-average resistance around ₹1,170–1,240.

“Index पर दबाव हो सकता है, लेकिन अवसर खत्म नहीं होते—बस ध्यान सही Share और सही स्तरों पर होना चाहिए।”

आज का Market Outlook / Closing View Nifty: 24,287.65, -78 points (-0.32%) Sensex: 77,728, -281 points (-0.36%) Nifty ne 5th consecutive session decline diya. Main pressure elevated crude oil, Middle-East/U.S.-Iran tensions, IT selling aur FII outflow se aaya. 1.

INFY
Infosys, HCL Tech, TCS, Mphasis aur Persistent jaise stocks mein selling dekhi gayi. Global growth/demand concerns aur currency-related factors IT sentiment par pressure daal rahe hain. Focus: Infosys, TCS, HCL Tech, Mphasis, Persistent 2. Focus: Tata Steel, Hindalco, SAIL, JSW Steel, Jindal Steel 3. Focus: HAL, BEML, BEL, MIDHANI 5. DRREDDY, SUNPHARMA, ORCHIDPHARMA 6.
