Sugar Imports May Be Less Than Expected.

When policy changes alter supply expectations, investors should study margins, inventory cycles, import economics, and company exposure. Imagine a shopkeeper preparing for a festival rush. Suddenly, the government opens a large overseas supply window to prevent prices from rising too much. That is the story unfolding in India’s sugar market. The government permitted **1 million tonnes of duty-free raw sugar imports until October 31, 2026**. But falling domestic sugar prices have now made imports less attractive. Industry estimates suggest actual imports could be only around **500,000 tonnes—roughly half the permitted quota**. Why does this matter? Lower-than-expected imports could mean the supply impact is smaller than initially feared. At the same time, domestic sugar availability is expected to improve when the new crushing season begins around October. For investors studying the sector, **

EIDPARRY
** is an interesting company to keep on the learning radar. with exposure to sugar and ethanol, while its broader business mix provides additional diversification. a government-announced import quota is not the same as actual imports.** The real market impact depends on how much sugar ultimately arrives, domestic production, selling prices, inventory levels and ethanol economics. **educational market observation, not a buy/sell/hold recommendation or investment advice.** Always conduct your own research before making any investment decision.

Technical Analysis EID Parry

The stock

EIDPARRY
is showing a recovery with improving momentum on the daily chart. The stock had a prolonged downtrend from the ₹1100+ zone and formed a bottom around ₹700–720 in June. Since then it has started making higher highs and higher lows indicating a shift from bearish to recovery mode. The recent move towards ₹810–820 is positive although the stock is now approaching an important resistance zone. Support & Resistance: Immediate support is around ₹790–780 followed by stronger support near ₹750–760. On the upside ₹820–840 is the key resistance zone. A strong daily close above ₹840 with good volume can open the way towards ₹880–900 while ₹950 is the next major resistance. Short-Term Outlook: The structure is cautiously bullish as long as the stock holds above ₹780. Fresh buyers can look for a breakout above ₹840 with volume, or consider buying near ₹780–790 after a confirmed reversal. Existing holders can continue holding with a trailing stop-loss around ₹750. A decisive close below ₹750 would weaken the recovery structure and could bring ₹700–720 back into focus.

E20 Is Not Just a Fuel Story — It's an Investment Theme in the Making

The Government has reiterated its commitment to E20 (20% ethanol-blended petrol), stating that offering multiple fuel options such as E10 or pure petrol is not practical given the large investments already made in ethanol infrastructure. For investors, the important question is: ---> Who stands to benefit if India's ethanol story continues? Q. What Is E20? E20 is petrol blended with 20% ethanol and 80% petrol. The government's objective is simple: • Reduce crude oil imports • Lower India's oil import bill • Support sugarcane farmers ##Biggest Beneficiaries Sugar & Ethanol Producers Higher ethanol blending directly increases demand for ethanol. Stocks to Watch: •

PRAJIND
BALRAMCHIN
TRIVENI
DALMIASUG
EIDPARRY
RENUKA
##Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) Companies like: •
IOC
BPCL
HINDPETRO
(HPCL) have invested heavily in ethanol blending infrastructure. Higher blending improves utilization of these investments over time. ***** Is There Controversy? Some consumers have reported: • Lower fuel efficiency • Concerns about older engines • Lack of fuel choice The government and industry maintain that E20 has undergone extensive testing and continues to support the policy, while also emphasizing its long-term economic and environmental benefits. ---->Bottom Line E20 is not just a new fuel—it is a long-term economic strategy. While the transition may face short-term challenges, the long-term beneficiaries could include ethanol producers, sugar companies, oil marketing firms and E20-ready automobile manufacturers. For investors, the real opportunity may lie in the companies powering India's shift toward cleaner and more self-reliant energy.
