Garware Hi-Tech Films – Technical Analysis

The stock

GRWRHITECH
Films is showing a strong long-term bullish trend with a short-term correction on the daily chart. The stock rallied sharply from around ₹2700 to nearly ₹8000 before correcting toward the ₹6300–₹6400 zone. The recent bounce has brought price back near ₹6640. Recent data confirms a 4.69% recovery on September 25 with a close near ₹6640. Support & Resistance: Immediate support is around ₹6300–₹6400, followed by ₹6000–₹6100. Holding ₹6300 can help maintain the broader bullish structure. On the upside, ₹6900–₹7000 is the first resistance zone followed by ₹7200–₹7400. The previous high near ₹8000 remains a major resistance area. Short-Term Buyers & Holders View: For short-term buyers ₹6300–₹6400 is an important zone to monitor for price stability. A sustained move above ₹7000 with strong volume would improve the short-term structure. If ₹63000 breaks decisively the stock may retest ₹6000–₹6100. Holders can monitor ₹6300 support and ₹7000 resistance for the next directional move.

Garware Hi-Tech Films plans ₹118 crore TPU expansion

Garware Hi-Tech Films Limited (NSE: GRWRHITECH) has signed an MoU with Lubrizol to develop and manufacture TPU-based film solutions in India. The company plans to invest about ₹118 crore in the manufacturing platform, with full operations targeted by December 2026. Key details • The partnership focuses on thermoplastic polyurethane, or TPU, film solutions. • The proposed investment is around ₹118 crore. • The new platform is expected to be fully operational by December 2026. • Management expects the project to support higher-value product offerings and improve the business mix. My view The interesting part is the move toward a more specialised product category rather than just adding commodity capacity. If Garware can scale TPU films successfully, the benefit could come from a better product mix and potentially stronger margins. But an MoU and planned capex do not guarantee the expected returns. Customer adoption and capacity utilisation will be important. What I’m watching next I will watch for commissioning by December 2026, customer traction and whether the company reports a measurable improvement in margins after the new capacity ramps up. Stance: Positive on the product-mix opportunity, but execution and utilisation will determine whether the ₹118 crore investment creates meaningful value. Disclosure: I do not have any holding or position in the stock mentioned above.

Garware Hi-Tech signs Thermoplastic Polyurethane MoU

Garware Hi-Tech Films Ltd.

GRWRHITECH
has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lubrizol to jointly develop and manufacture advanced Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU)-based film solutions in India. The partnership combines Lubrizol’s TPU technology and material-science expertise with Garware Hi-Tech Films’ engineering, processing and manufacturing capabilities. The products are expected to address applications across automotive, architectural, industrial, electronics and other specialty segments. The company plans to invest approximately ₹118 crore in a dedicated TPU film extrusion and manufacturing platform at its Waluj facility. Around 25% of the investment is earmarked for new-product development and technology capabilities, supporting faster prototyping, product development and commercialisation. The facility is designed with a capacity of around 360 lakh sq. ft. per annum and was earlier planned for commercial operations around October 2026. A key strategic benefit is backward integration of the premium Paint Protection Film (PPF) business. In-house TPU production should reduce dependence on imported TPU films, improve supply-chain resilience and provide greater control over product quality, costs and development. The initiative is expected to support expansion of PPF manufacturing capacity to over 600 lakh sq. ft., while the company expects operational efficiencies from integration to potentially improve consolidated EBITDA margins by around 150–200 basis points. Overall, the investment represents a move toward a more integrated, technology-driven specialty-film portfolio, with TPU capability providing a platform for both premium PPF growth and new high-value film applications.
