Jai Balaji Industries Limited (JBIL) Latest Updates

JAIBALAJI
Q2 FY26 Financial Performance For the quarter ended September 30, 2025, the company reported a sharp decline in profitability. Net profit plummeted 82.7% year-over-year to ₹26.48 crore, down from ₹153.16 crore in the same period last year. Revenue also saw a contraction, falling 13% to ₹1,353.35 crore. This margin compression was primarily attributed to weaker commodity realizations and a significant drop in operational earnings, with "other income" making up a high portion of the pre-tax profit. Debt Reduction & Credit Rating One of the most positive developments is the company's aggressive deleveraging. As of late 2025, Jai Balaji has managed to maintain a low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.21. Long-term debt has been significantly reduced to approximately ₹148 crore, a massive drop from the ₹303 crore levels seen in 2024. Reflecting this improved financial health, CRISIL upgraded its rating to 'CRISIL BBB+/Stable' in mid-2025, noting the company's prudent capital expenditure and improved return on capital employed. Capacity Expansion Plans The company is currently executing a ₹1,000 crore capital expenditure program funded primarily through internal accruals. Key projects include adding 0.96 lakh tonnes of capacity for Ductile Iron (DI) pipes and expanding the specialized ferroalloys division by 0.24 lakh tonnes by the end of FY2026. These expansions are aimed at shifting the product mix toward higher-margin, value-added products used in sectors like aerospace and defense.
