KSB bags ₹85 crore ONGC order for seven injection pumps

KSB Limited (NSE: KSB)

KSB
has won an order worth about ₹85 crore from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The job is to replace seven main injection pumps. What happened: The order covers seven main injection pumps, which are high-pressure units used in offshore energy work. It adds to the ₹2,584.8 crore of orders on hand that KSB reported at Q1 CY2026. That order book is close to 96% of CY2025 sales of ₹2,696 crore, which grew 6.42% year-on-year. Why it matters: The ₹85 crore order is about 3.2% of annual sales. On its own it will not move earnings much. The value is in the pattern. In September 2026, KSB also won an export contract from Dangote Projects Free Zone Enterprise for a boiler feed pump package. One domestic PSU order and one export order within weeks point to demand on both sides. My view: Replacement orders from a PSU buyer like ONGC tend to repeat as platform equipment ages. That keeps the backlog full, and a full backlog gives revenue visibility for the coming quarters. What I can’t see yet is margin. The order margin and delivery schedule are not disclosed, so I would not assume this order lifts profitability. I read it as a positive for revenue visibility, not yet for margins. What I’m watching: Execution on the pump packages, since delays or material shortages would push revenue out. Input costs for key raw materials, which can squeeze operating margin. Further orders from state owned energy and power companies. The order book in KSB’s next quarterly update. Please note that the information shared is intended solely for informational purposes and does not make any investment recommendations.

KSB received a ₹118 crore export order..

KSB Limited (KSB) has received a $12.4 million export order, equivalent to about ₹118 crore, from Dangote Projects Free Zone Enterprise. The order covers the supply of 18 boiler feed pump packages and is scheduled for execution between September 2027 and March 2028. KSB shares rose as much as 7% to ₹878 on the NSE after the announcement. The order is relevant because it adds international business to KSB's industrial pump portfolio and provides visibility for a defined execution period. The key point is not only the order size, but also the nature of the equipment being supplied and the export opportunity in an industrial project. My view is that investors should focus on execution and the margin contribution from the contract rather than treating the order announcement alone as an earnings upgrade. The stock reaction already shows that the announcement attracted attention, so future performance will depend on order conversion and profitability. I will watch the execution timeline, export contribution and margin performance as the project progresses. Stance: Positive on the order win, with execution and profitability as the next triggers.

KSB breaks above its 200-day average!! watch

KSB breaks above its 200-day average KSB Limited (NSE: KSB) closed at ₹824.80 on September 29, gaining 2.94%. The stock crossed above its 200-day moving average of ₹814.56, according to the latest StockEdge technical scan. Why it matters The 200-day moving average is an important long-term trend reference. KSB's September 29 close was above this level, and the stock extended the move on September 30. It traded as high as ₹900 during the session, while volume surged sharply. KSB's September 30 trading range was ₹845.65 to ₹900, with the stock showing a substantial increase in volume compared with its recent average. Upstox also flagged a one-day price breakout and volume spike. My view The move above ₹814.56 is the key technical development. The sharp follow-through on September 30 strengthens the breakout structure, but the stock has also moved quickly, so holding the breakout zone becomes important. What I am watching ₹814.56 is the key long-term breakout reference. The September 30 high of ₹900 is the immediate price-action level to monitor. A sustained move back below ₹814.56 would weaken the breakout structure.
