Pfizer joins hands with Mylan to expand Ativan and Pacitane reach in India
Pfizer Ltd has signed a five-year marketing and supply agreement with Mylan Pharmaceuticals to boost the distribution of its well-known brands, Ativan and Pacitane, in India. Ativan is widely used for anxiety disorders, while Pacitane is prescribed for Parkinson’s disease and neurological conditions. Mylan, with its strong presence in the central nervous system therapy segment, will leverage its network and specialist engagement to expand the reach of these products.
This collaboration aims to enhance Pfizer’s in-clinic presence by tapping into Mylan’s expertise in working with neurologists and psychiatrists. While financial details remain undisclosed, both companies have finalized commercial arrangements. The agreement is exclusive to the Indian market and does not involve any joint venture or share exchange.
