INVESTOR BRIEF: OPERATIONAL EXPANSION & NETWORK UPDATE

PVRINOX
Subject: PVR INOX Expands South India Footprint with Premium 5-Screen Multiplex in Kochi Executive Overview PVR INOX Limited has expanded its presence in the Kerala market with the launch of a new five-screen multiplex at MyMoon, Chittoor Road, Kochi. This launch aligns with the company’s targeted expansion in key southern urban micro-markets, scaling the national network to 1,797 screens across 358 properties in 114 cities across India and Sri Lanka. Key Asset Specifications & Technology Integration The property is engineered to drive footfalls, maximize occupancy, and enhance patron stickiness through premium experiential cinema: Capacity & Visual Setup: The five screens collectively accommodate 814 patrons. The facility is fully fitted with cutting-edge 4K laser projection, Dolby Atmos sound architecture, RealD 3D, and PVR INOX’s proprietary PXL premium large-format presentation. Premium Seating Mix: Configured to optimize Average Ticket Price (ATP), four auditoriums feature dedicated luxury recliners in the back row, while the fifth offers premium lounger seating. Differentiated Ambience: Built around a biophilic "multiplex in a garden" design theme with vintage and indigenous architectural elements, aimed at increasing dwell time. F&B Execution & Revenue Optimization The cinema features an upgraded Food & Beverage operational layout to capture higher Spend per Head (SPH): Operational Efficiency: Employs digital self-service ordering kiosks, dual-sided ordering access ("piano windows"), and an integrated café footprint. Pricing & Monetization: Features tiered F&B pricing—combining compliant MRP-priced essentials with health-focused, weekday bundles, and high-margin unlimited refill formats on large concessions. Market Context This addition consolidates PVR INOX’s competitive moat and retail footprint across southern India. Supported by focused execution and operational synergies, the stock has appreciated 23.7% year-to-date.

PVR INOX: Can asset-light expansion improve returns?

PVRINOX
# PVR INOX: Can asset-light expansion improve returns? PVR INOX Limited is expanding its screen network while reducing the capital required for each new cinema. The company plans 100–110 new screens in FY27, with a greater focus on FOCO and asset-light formats. This is important because cinema expansion has traditionally required significant spending on property, interiors and equipment. Under asset-light and FOCO models, much of the investment is funded by the developer or franchise partner, while PVR INOX operate the cinema. The opportunity is particularly large outside major metros. PVR INOX has identified smaller cities where cinema penetration remains low and is developing its Smart Screen format for these markets. The economics are interesting. A traditional company-owned screen can generate more revenue, but it also carries higher fixed costs and capital requirements. An asset-light screen may generate lower revenue per screen, but requires substantially less capital. That can improve returns if the company can maintain healthy occupancy and monetisation. Premiumisation is another part of the strategy. Premium formats account for roughly 16% of PVR INOX's screen base and generate higher ticket prices and occupancy than standard screens. **My view:** The key PVR INOX story is shifting from simply adding screens to adding screens more efficiently. If the company can combine asset-light expansion with premium formats and improving occupancy, it can potentially grow without a similar increase in capital intensity. **What I'm watching:** new-screen additions, occupancy, revenue per patron, premium-screen mix and the proportion of asset-liht openings. **Stance:** The success of PVR INOX's expansion should be judged by returns generated per rupee of capital invested, not just by the number of screens added. **Disclosure:** I am a SEBI Registered Research Analyst. Please refer to the applicable disclosures before taking any investment decision.

PVR Inox launches three-screen multiplex

PVR Inox has launched its new three-screen multiplex at DLF Summit Plaza, Gurugram. Located on the prestigious Golf Course Road corridor, the new destination marks the company’s latest expansion in one of India’s most cosmopolitan urban markets. The multiplex features three auditoriums with 352 premium Sapphire seats, finished in luxurious leatherette upholstery. The seating offers 650 mm centre-to-centre spacing and a 1,500 mm back-to-back seat pitch, providing generous personal space and enhanced comfort. The three-screen cinema is equipped with 4K digital laser projection, Dolby 7.1 surround sound and Next-Gen 3D, delivering exceptional visual clarity, immersive audio and a richly detailed, lifelike cinematic experience across all auditoriums. Impact : This launch directly fuels PVR INOX’s margin-expansion strategy. While ticket sales account for roughly 52% of revenues, higher-margin Food & Beverages (30%) and premium seating upgrades significantly boost structural profitability per consumer. By offering boutique amenities like Sapphire leatherette seating with massive legroom, PVR INOX can command higher Average Ticket Prices (ATP) and Spend Per Head (SPH) View: PVR INOX remains highly positive over the next 1–3 months, driven by strong technical momentum, favorable corporate actions, and an attractive upcoming content slate. Disclosure : I do not hold any position in the mentioned stock. Disclaimer: Investment in securities are subject to market risk. This is for educational purpose only.

PVR INOX – Technical Structure Shows Strong Momentum

The stock

PVRINOX
is trading around ₹1260 on the daily chart. The stock has formed a strong upward move from the ₹1050–1080 zone and has maintained a pattern of higher highs and higher lows. Recent price action shows strong buying interest, although volatility has increased near the current levels. Support & Resistance: Immediate support is visible around ₹1220–1200 where the recent consolidation and buying activity are visible. Below this ₹1160–1140 is the next important support zone. On the upside ₹1280 is the immediate resistance followed by the ₹1300–1320 zone. A sustained breakout above ₹1280 can indicate continuation of the current upward structure. Short-term Buyers & Holders View: Short-term structure remains positive as long as the stock holds above the ₹1200–1220 support zone. The recent recovery from around ₹1160 shows that buyers are active on declines. However price is currently close to resistance so some consolidation or volatility cannot be ruled out. A decisive move above ₹1280 would strengthen the existing momentum, while a break below ₹1200 can weaken the short-term structure. Holders can monitor the mentioned support zones for trend structure.

PVR Inox opens three new screens at Soul Space Spirit

PVR Inox has expanded PVR Soul Space Spirit, Bellandur, with three new auditoriums, including Bengaluru’s eighth 4DX experience and two mainstream screens. The addition takes the cinema to seven screens and positions Soul Space Spirit as a more expansive entertainment destination for audiences across the Bellandur-Marathahalli-Varthur- Sarjapur Road corridor. Located on Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road, the property is surrounded by established residential communities and major technology hubs, making it a natural leisure destination for audiences who live and work in the area. The location is listed at Soul Spirit Central Mall, Bellandur, on Outer Ring Road. For over 15 years, PVR Soul Space Spirit has served the Bellandur community. This expansion builds on that legacy by adding more choice, contemporary design and a more immersive way to experience films close to home and work. Making its debut at Soul Space Spirit, Bengaluru’s eighth 4DX auditorium brings a new layer of immersion to the destination. Motion-enabled seating and multisensory effects are designed to place audiences at the centre of the action, extending the experience beyond the screen. The three new auditoriums have a dedicated entrance on the fifth floor, while the existing four screens will continue to operate on the fourth floor. Across the expanded cinema, guests can enjoy superior laser projection, Dolby Atmos Surround Sound and Next Gen 3D. The property will offer a total seating capacity of 1143.
