Envirotech Systems wins ₹2.27 crore order

Envirotech Systems Limited (NSE: ENVIRO) has received a domestic order worth ₹2.27 crore from Utkal Alumina International Limited for acoustic control equipment. The order covers supply of acoustic enclosures and curtains along with erection work. Key details • Order value: ₹2.27 crore, including taxes. • Client: Utkal Alumina International Limited. • Scope includes acoustic enclosures, acoustic curtains and associated erection work. • Supply is expected between December 2026 and January 2027. • Installation is targeted for completion by June 2027. My view The order value is small in absolute terms, but it is relevant because it comes from Envirotech’s core acoustic-engineering business. For a company of this size, repeat industrial orders can help build execution visibility. The more important factor is whether this translates into a steady pipeline from sectors such as metals, defence, data centres and industrial manufacturing. What I’m watching next I will watch further order wins, execution of the Utkal Alumina contract and whether new sectors start contributing a larger share of revenue. Stance: Incrementally positive on order flow, but sustained growth will depend on the frequency and size of future wins. Disclosure: I do not have any holding or position in the stock mentioned above.

Q1 FY27 Performance Overview: Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL)

JINDALSTEL
Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. (JSPL) delivered stronger-than-expected earnings for the June quarter, prompting a 3% surge in its share price in early trading on July 27, 2026. While the Q1 outperformance was widely acknowledged by analysts, the overall outlook remains divided due to broader steel pricing ***** Operational HighlightsStrong Earnings Beat: Consolidated adjusted EBITDA reached ₹26.7 billion, outperforming estimates by up to 9%, primarily driven by robust steel production and sales ***** Resilience: Sequential volumes dipped due to planned maintenance, but EBITDA per tonne improved. This was supported by stronger steel pricing and a higher share of value-added products, which effectively offset elevated coking coal ***** Project Execution: Operations at the Utkal B1 coal mine have commenced, and the critical slurry pipeline project is on schedule for a Q2 FY27 ***** Allocation: Management reaffirmed its FY27 capital expenditure guidance of ₹85 billion, underscoring its commitment to capacity optimization and cost-reduction ***** PerspectivesAnalysts remain polarized on JSPL’s near-term upside, balancing solid operational execution against softening flat and long steel ***** PriceKey RationaleKotak EquitiesAdd (Upgraded)₹1,280Upgraded on the EBITDA beat. Forecasts a 27% and 49% CAGR for steel volumes and EBITDA respectively over FY26-29, driven by expansion ***** challenging FY27 volume targets (10.5-11 MT) but anticipates a post-Q2 earnings recovery.

JSW Infrastructure Strengthens Odisha Port Presence While Delivering Steady Operational Growth

JSW Infrastructure has taken another strategic step to strengthen its port infrastructure business by signing a novation agreement through its wholly owned subsidiary, JSW Jatadhar Marine Services Pvt. Ltd., to develop a captive jetty at Jatadhar Muhan in Jagatsinghpur, Odisha. The project will be executed under the Build, Own, Operate, Share and Transfer (BOOST) model after the Government of Odisha approved the transfer of the concession agreement on June 18, 2026. The proposal was originally submitted by JSW Utkal Steel on June 26, 2025, and the final agreement was executed on July 7, 2026, marking a key milestone in expanding the group's logistics capabilities. On the financial front, the company reported a 17.9% YoY decline in Q4 net profit to ₹418.3 crore from ₹509.4 crore, primarily impacted by exceptional items, including an estimated ₹68 crore loss due to a fire at the Fujairah Liquid Terminal, ₹5 crore (post-tax) towards employee costs following the implementation of the new Labour Code, and an unrealised forex loss of ₹43 crore (post-tax). Despite this, operational performance remained strong, with revenue increasing 18.6% YoY to ₹1,522.3 crore from ₹1,283.2 crore, EBITDA rising 19.9% to ₹768.8 crore from ₹641 crore, and the EBITDA margin improving to 50.5% from 50.0%. Cargo handling volumes also increased by 1% YoY to 31.6 million tonnes, supported by higher throughput at South West Port, Dharamtar Port and Jaigarh Port, along with contributions from the Tuticorin Terminal and JNPA Liquid Terminal.

Utkal Speciality IPO

These factors are Looking good: Strong Cash Flow: The company maintains a positive cash flow, which is a rare and encouraging sign for an SME of this size. Clean Receivables: The absence of bloated trade receivables suggests that the company is not manufacturing "fake" revenue and is relatively honest in its accounting practices compared to industry peers. Debt Reduction: Using a portion of the IPO proceeds to pay off ₹11 crore in debt will strengthen the balance sheet and reduce future interest burdens. Key Risks Discussed: Inventory Accumulation: Despite claiming increased production capacity, the company is failing to move goods, leading to a build-up of unsold inventory. This indicates weak demand. Questionable Expansion Logic: The company plans to spend ₹9 crore on new machinery despite already having significant idle production capacity at their current facility. Aggressive Valuation: The IPO is priced at a P/E of 21x and a P/B of 2x, which is significantly higher than comparable peers (like Aton Papers at 3-4x P/E), leaving no "margin of safety" for investors. Poor Track Record of Lead Manager: The IPO lead manager, Affinty Global Capital, has a history of bringing IPOs to market that have performed poorly post-listing. Brand Risk: The company's name is not yet fully trademark-registered, leading to potential future legal or operational hurdles.
