Hindustan Unilever (HUL)'s latest updates

HINDUNILVR
Chairman's Outlook & Strategy: HUL's non-executive chairman, Nitin Paranjpe, recently highlighted global geopolitical uncertainties and rising protectionism as key business challenges. He emphasized the need for "speed and agility" and leveraging technology across the value chain to respond to these disruptions. Despite global headwinds, Paranjpe remains bullish on the long-term prospects of the Indian FMCG market, expecting reasonable volume growth to return, supported by low inflation, tax benefits, and good monsoons. Exports Outpacing Domestic Sales: HUL's wholly-owned subsidiary for exports, Unilever India Exports Ltd., reported an 8% increase in sales to ₹1,258 crore in the last financial year (ended March 31, 2025), with net profit rising 14% to ₹91 crore. This contrasts with a more tepid 2% growth in HUL's total domestic sales, indicating a strong performance in international markets for products like skin care, lifestyle nutrition, and hair care. Financial Performance & Shareholder Updates: HUL successfully held its 92nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 30, 2025, where all resolutions were approved. The company had previously announced a dividend of ₹24 per share for the quarter ending March 2025. For Q4 FY25, HUL reported a slight decline in consolidated net profit by 3.67% YoY to ₹2,464 crore, despite revenue showing a modest increase.
