Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) Latest Updates

MCX
Historic 1:5 Stock Split Execution In a major corporate milestone, MCX executed its first-ever stock split in a 1:5 ratio on January 2, 2026. Each existing equity share with a face value of ₹10 has been subdivided into five equity shares with a face value of ₹2. This move was designed to improve liquidity and make the stock more accessible to retail investors after it reached record highs of over ₹11,000 in late 2025. Following the split, the stock hit a new all-time high of ₹2,499 on January 16, 2026. Upcoming Q3 FY26 Results & Board Meeting The company has officially scheduled its board meeting for Friday, January 23, 2026, to review and approve the unaudited financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025. Following the results, the company will host an earnings conference call on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 4:00 PM IST. Senior management, including MD & CEO Ms. Praveena Rai and CFO Mr. Chandresh Shah, will participate in the discussion. Record Bullion Trading Volumes MCX has seen a significant surge in trading activity, with the stock rising over 70% in the last five months (as of mid-January). This growth is primarily driven by record-high prices in the bullion segment, with gold breaching the ₹1.40 lakh mark and silver prices also seeing extreme volatility. The bullion segment's share in Average Daily Turnover (ADT) has climbed to approximately 57%, significantly boosting the exchange's transaction fee revenue expectations.
