Strengths Strong growth in FY2025-26: Consolidated operating revenue increased to ₹1,538.87 crore, compared with ₹1,286.43 crore in FY2024-25. Consolidated PAT increased to ₹226.20 crore from ₹79.56 crore. Diversified pharmaceutical portfolio: Shilpa Medicare operates across APIs, formulations, biologics/biosimilars and CDMO/licensing, reducing dependence on a single product category. In FY25, formulations revenue increased 52.56%, while CDMO/licence-fee revenue increased 38.76%. Weaknesses High dependence on pharmaceutical R&D and regulatory approvals: Biosimilars and new products require significant development expenditure, clinical validation and regulatory approvals. API revenue pressure: FY25 API revenue declined 7.68% to ₹674.11 crore, even though formulations and CDMO revenues grew. Complex operating structure: The business spans APIs, formulations, biologics and CDMO activities, requiring substantial technical, regulatory and manufacturing capabilities. Opportunities Biosimilar expansion: Increasing adoption of biosimilars globally provides an opportunity for Shilpa Medicare to expand its biologics portfolio. New product launches: Planned products such as Aflibercept and expansion of Adalimumab into additional markets could support future growth. opportunities. Pipeline development: Investments in biosimilars and Phase III trials for Recombinant Human Albumin (rHA) in India and the EU provide longer-term growth potential. Threats Regulatory risk: Delays or failures in regulatory approvals for APIs, formulations or biosimilars could affect product launches and expected revenues. Pricing pressure: Competition in generic APIs and formulations can put pressure on selling prices and margins. Raw-material volatility: Changes in input costs can affect profitability.
