STEAMHOUSE
Steamhouse India is an industrial-gas company focused primarily on centralized generation and distribution of steam through community boiler systems and pipeline networks, with nitrogen supply added as a newer business. Its model allows industrial customers to avoid setting up and operating individual boilers. The company operates seven community steam boilers in Gujarat with installed capacity of about 345 TPH and a pipeline network exceeding 50 km, serving customers across pharmaceuticals, chemicals, agrochemicals, textiles and other industries.
Financial performance has shown healthy growth, although profitability has not expanded as rapidly as revenue over the longer term. Consolidated FY26 revenue increased to about ₹495 crore from ₹399 crore, while EBITDA rose to ₹86.95 crore and net profit to ₹38.64 crore, with an operating margin of 17.69%. Q1 FY27 was stronger operationally, with standalone sales of around ₹129 crore, operating profit of ₹31 crore and net profit of ₹18 crore; operating margin improved to 24% from 17% in Q1 FY26.
The key growth opportunity is expansion of the community-boiler model into new industrial clusters, along with nitrogen, waste-to-steam and co-generation opportunities. The recently awarded ₹311 crore EPC and long-term O&M mandate for a 300 TPH steam plant and 30 MW co-generation facility at Una provides additional order visibility and could create recurring revenue over the long term. However, the stock has already seen a strong post-IPO move: it listed at ₹94.50 against an issue price of ₹81 and was around ₹108 on October 5, implying a market capitalization of roughly ₹2,982 crore and a P/E near 64x.
Overall, Steamhouse has a differentiated business model and improving recent margins, but the current valuation makes sustained growth and efficient capital deployment important factors to monitor.#StockInNews#EquityResearch#HiddenGems#FundamentalViews#WatchOutFor
