Wipro reports Q2 revenue of ₹24,752.7 crore, up 1.1%
Wipro Limited
WIPRO
reported second quarter revenue of ₹24,752.7 crore, registering a sequential top-line growth of 1.1%. The figure met market consensus expectations of ₹24,700 crore and expanded by ₹274.1 crore from ₹24,478.6 crore in the preceding quarter.
My view: Revenue delivery showed divergence across key business segments. The consumer goods, travel, and transportation verticals generated positive deal momentum during the quarter. Concurrently, mid-market deal wins expanded with operating margins matching those of large enterprise accounts. However, the US healthcare vertical faced an operational drag caused by localized regulatory policy changes and client-specific spending reductions across parts of the Americas. Deal execution also saw fewer contract closures due to pending documentation.
From a valuation viewpoint, meeting revenue estimates eliminates immediate downside shock to near-term guidance. Mid-market wins demonstrate healthy account expansion in cost-sensitive segments. Even so, the persistence of US healthcare softness into the third quarter caps near-term valuation multiple expansion. Because revenue growth remains modest at 1.1% sequentially, earnings acceleration will require both the stabilization of healthcare client budgets and higher conversion of pending large contracts.
What I am watching: For the clients spending stabilization in the US healthcare vertical and deal closure conversion rates heading into the third quarter.
