AXISBANK
is likely to remain in focus after reporting robust business growth for Q2 FY27. Gross advances climbed 22.7% YoY to ₹13.85 lakh crore as of September 30, 2026, compared with ₹11.28 lakh crore a year earlier. On a quarterly basis, advances increased 8.8% from ₹12.73 lakh crore in June 2026. Total deposits expanded 20.7% YoY to ₹14.52 lakh crore, supported by healthy growth across deposit segments. CASA deposits rose 10.6% to ₹5.30 lakh crore, while term deposits increased 27.3% to ₹9.23 lakh crore. The bank mobilised $10.62 billion in FCNR(B) deposits under the RBI swap facility, contributing to overall balance-sheet growth. Excluding FCNR-linked loans, underlying advances growth remained solid at around 18.8% YoY, highlighting healthy core credit momentum. Separately, Senior Management Personnel Sanjeev Moghe has resigned to pursue an opportunity outside the bank and is expected to be relieved on October 30, 2026. Overall, the Q2 business update indicates strong loan and deposit traction. Investors will now focus on asset quality, margins, funding costs, deposit mix and the sustainability of credit growth when the bank announces its quarterly financial results.
