$VOLTAS Q1 FY27 Results: Net profit jumps 53% to Rs 214 crore; announces JV with Atomberg for AC compressors

$VOLTAS reported a 53% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 214 crore for the June quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 140 crore in the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations climbed 19% to Rs 4,673.50 crore, up from Rs 3,938.58 crore in the year-ago quarter. The company's EBITDA rose nearly 49% to Rs 265.5 crore, compared with Rs 178.5 crore a year earlier. The EBITDA margin also improved to 5.7% from 4.5% year-on-year. $VOLTAS-Atomberg joint venture In a separate development, Voltas announced a partnership with Atomberg Innovation to establish a joint venture for the development, manufacturing and supply of room air-conditioner compressors and related components in India. The proposed venture will focus on developing energy-efficient and reliable compressor solutions while improving cost competitiveness and increasing localisation. The partnership will combine $VOLTAS' expertise in the Indian room air-conditioner market, product and application knowledge, manufacturing capabilities, supply-chain network and scale with Atomberg Innovation's proprietary technology and engineering capabilities. The company expects the collaboration to strengthen the domestic ecosystem for AC compressors and support the localisation of critical components used in room air-conditioners.
