Wall Street Week Ahead: Fed Minutes, Retail Results and Economic Data in Focus

US markets are set for a data-heavy week, with investors tracking the Fed minutes, retail earnings and key economic indicators for clues on interest rates. The Federal Reserve’s meeting minutes, due Wednesday, will be closely watched for signals on the central bank’s rate outlook and the possibility of a September hike. Expectations for an immediate rate increase have eased after softer employment data and moderating inflation. Investors will also focus on quarterly results from major retailers including Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Costco, Kroger and Albertsons. Their earnings are expected to provide fresh insights into consumer spending and economic health. Key economic releases include August preliminary PMI data, the Empire State and Philadelphia Fed manufacturing surveys, July industrial production and housing starts. The US Treasury market will also remain in focus, with auctions of $16 billion in 20-year bonds and $8 billion in 30-year TIPS scheduled during the week. Investment in securities market are subject to market risks. Read all the related documents carefully before investing,
