$HINDUNILVR Q1 Results: Profit declines 4% to ₹2,631 crore; revenue rises 10%, shares tumble 6%
$HINDUNILVR Ltd posted a 4% year-on-year fall in standalone net profit to ₹2,631 crore for Q1 FY27, as rising raw material costs and higher operating expenses put pressure on profitability. The company's EBITDA margin contracted by 40 basis points to 22.8%, reflecting persistent commodity inflation. Revenue from continuing operations increased 10% YoY to ₹16,514 crore, driven by 5% underlying volume growth. Excluding one-off restructuring and acquisition-related charges, adjusted net profit advanced 9% to ₹3,623 crore. On a consolidated basis, net profit eased 3% to ₹2,673 crore, while revenue climbed 10.3% to ₹17,149 crore, registering the company's highest quarterly turnover in the past 13 quarters.
