Sensex Jumps 550+ Points, Nifty Crosses 24,550; IT & Cement Stocks Lead Rally

Summary: Indian equity benchmarks extended their strong upward momentum on Monday, with the Sensex climbing over 550 points and the Nifty50 moving above 24,550, supported by improved global sentiment and easing crude oil prices. Investor confidence strengthened after developments pointing to renewed diplomatic discussions in West Asia, driving broad-based buying across Dalal Street. Most sectoral indices traded in positive territory, led by FMCG, PSU Banks, Chemicals, Financial Services, IT, and Cement stocks, reflecting widespread market participation. Banking shares also remained resilient, providing additional support to the benchmark indices. On the other hand, the Media index was the top underperformer, slipping nearly 2%, while Pharma, Healthcare, Consumer Durables, and Mid & Small-cap Healthcare stocks witnessed mild profit booking and traded marginally lower.
