Today Stock Market : Sensex, Nifty trade in a narrow range; auto, metal and realty stocks outperform

Updates: Indian equity benchmark indices opened on a positive note on Friday but traded with limited gains during the morning session, with the Nifty hovering around the 24,350 mark. The Sensex was up 100 points while the Nifty 50 gained 50 points ( Market breadth remained positive, with 2,279 stocks advancing, 1,219 declining, and 147 remaining unchanged on the BSE. On the sectoral front, auto, metal and realty stocks led the gains, while capital goods also witnessed strong buying, rising nearly 2%.
