KFIN TESTS AI PLATFORM FOR CONVERSATIONAL MF TRANSACTIONS

KFINTECH
KFin Technologies is testing an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered platform that will allow investors to execute mutual fund transactions through natural-language conversations, expanding the company’s use of AI beyond routine investor queries and portfolio analysis. The platform, named ARYA, is currently being tested for additional lump-sum investments and systematic investment plan (SIP) registrations. KFintech plans to subsequently add features such as redemptions, fund switches, systematic transfer plans and systematic withdrawal plans. Eligible transactions will be executed directly through KFintech’s registrar and transfer agent (RTA) infrastructure for mutual fund companies serviced by the firm. This will allow the platform to access underlying transaction records without requiring investors to switch to a separate execution interface. KFintech said a proof-of-concept conducted with asset managers in July improved response accuracy from 41% to around 90% after the company refined the underlying information corpus. The company also reported sub-second retrieval times and said ARYA declined to answer all out-of-scope questions included in its evaluation set. KFintech plans to launch ARYA as an invite-only standalone application in September. The platform is expected to be made available to distributors through the company’s IRIS portal in October and to investors through its investor portal in November. The company said ARYA’s AI models and investor data will operate on infrastructure controlled by KFintech in India, rather than relying on a third-party AI cloud for the serving process.
