Jio Platforms IPO: Reliance and JFS on Charts

Jio Platforms opens its IPO to retail investors on 21-23 October, with the anchor book from 19 October and listing on 28 October. The price band is Rs 1,065-1,119. At the top end, the valuation is about $108.3 billion, below the roughly $131 billion discussed when the documents were filed in June. The issue is entirely fresh shares, about Rs 30,210 crore at the top end, with up to Rs 27,500 crore earmarked for repaying debt at Reliance Jio Infocomm. Jio has about 533 million mobile subscribers, and media reports point to strong institutional interest. The market is watching how the company earns beyond telecom, and the prospectus notes that data-privacy and telecom rules could limit data-driven revenue. On the weekly charts,

RELIANCE
trades near 1,202, below its 200-week average (1,324) and testing a rising trendline drawn since 2021, with RSI at 38.30. Jio Financial Services, near 214, is approaching a horizontal support around 203 that held in 2024 and 2025, with RSI at 33.34. Both stocks sit at long-term support zones into the IPO window, and their reaction will be worth watching. Large IPOs bring attention to the parent group, so it helps to see where group stocks stand technically while the market weighs valuation and growth.
