Aurobindo Pharma Hits 52-Week High After USFDA Nod

Aurobindo Pharma shares touched a fresh 52-week high of ₹1,739.95 in early trade on October 5 after the company secured final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market Perampanel tablets. The shares were quoting at ₹1,680.50, up 0.33 percent, around 9:26 am on the BSE. The stock had closed at ₹1,675 in the previous session. The approved product includes Perampanel tablets in strengths of 2 mg, 4 mg, 6 mg, 8 mg, 10 mg and 12 mg. These are bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug Fycompa Tablets from Catalyst Pharmaceuticals. The tablets will be manufactured at Unit-IV of APL Healthcare, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma, and are expected to be launched in the third quarter of FY27.
