Bajaj Finance shares climbed nearly 5% in intraday trade on Monday, ending a four-session losing streak, after the non-banking financial company reported robust asset growth in the July-September quarter.
The stock touched an intraday high of ₹995.80 on the NSE, up 5%, before settling around ₹982, a gain of about 3.56%, amid some profit booking.
Assets under management (AUM) rose 26.5% year-on-year to approximately ₹5.84 lakh crore as of September 30, compared with ₹4.62 lakh crore a year earlier. AUM expanded by ₹37,800 crore during the quarter, while the deposit book stood at ₹69,750 crore.
Ahead of the provisional business update, the company’s board approved a fundraising plan of nearly ₹18,000 crore.
