BSE Shares Surge 6% to New Record High on Stellar Q3 FY26 Results

Shares of Bombay Stock Exchange (

BSE
) soared more than 6% on Tuesday, touching a fresh all-time high amid strong investor enthusiasm following the company's impressive third-quarter earnings for FY26. The stock opened higher and climbed to an intraday peak of around ₹3,188.40 before closing at approximately ₹3,170-3,174 levels, marking a significant gain from the previous day's close of about ₹2,985. This rally came a day after BSE announced its Q3 results on February 9. For the quarter ended December 2025 (Q3 FY26), BSE reported a consolidated net profit of ₹601.81 crore to ₹602 crore, reflecting a robust 174% year-on-year (YoY) increase from ₹219.67 crore to ₹220 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations jumped 62% YoY to ₹1,244.10 crore, compared to ₹768 crore previously. The net profit margin expanded sharply to 45%, up from 26% in Q3 FY25, highlighting improved operational efficiency and strong growth in key segments. The impressive performance was driven by higher transaction charges, particularly in the equity derivatives segment, increased listings activity, rising market share in options trading, and gains from mutual fund-related income. Brokerages responded positively, with some raising target prices and maintaining bullish ratings, citing sustained momentum in derivatives volumes and overall market activity. This marks another strong quarter for BSE, underscoring its competitive positioning in India's growing capital markets landscape. Investors will now watch for continued volume trends and regulatory developments in the coming sessions.
