Gold Loan Stocks Shine Bright: Manappuram, IIFL, and Muthoot Surge on Record Gold Rally

Gold loan stocks sparkled on the Indian bourses today, surging up to 6% to fresh 52-week highs amid gold's climb to all-time peaks, driven by geopolitical risks and Fed rate cut optimism.

MANAPPURAM
ance topped the gains, jumping 6% to Rs 313.8. IIFL Finance rose 4% to Rs 597.70, while Muthoot Finance gained over 2% to Rs 3,890, fueled by expectations of higher gold-backed lending amid safe-haven demand. Global gold prices exceeded $2,700/oz, boosted by Middle East tensions and softer U.S. inflation. In India, the rally promises expanded loan books and better NPA recovery for these NBFCs. Analysts call it a timely upcycle: "These firms are primed to leverage gold's premium," per a Mumbai brokerage. With festive demand persisting, the sector eyes sustained momentum as a market hedge.
